The chief cause of the apostasy of western civilization lies concealed within Darwinism. The west is now very often referred to as Post-Christian and that we are in the post-Christian era. Darwinism and its philosophical offspring (moral relativism, multiculturalism, political correctness, judicial activism, communism, fascism, and the raise of the western secular social democracies of a soon to be unrecognizable Europe) give clear testimony to the pernicious effects of a materialistic worldview whose sole justification for credibility is the pseudo scientific and utterly false neo-Darwinian paradigm.

As the west losses its Judaeo-Christian roots, its will and resolve erode as well. Tolerance has become the primary virtue of those who have none. As moral relativism has given birth to a non-traditional understanding of tolerance via multicultural equivocation, this new form of tolerance has given appeasement its second flowering. Having learned nothing from the lessons taught by Hitler and Tojo, appeasement has once again become Europe’s political policy.

Also, if anyone questions your beliefs, you can use "consensus" and ad hominem attacks to marginalize those who attempt to raise objections and engage in honest discourse. It is so easy to stifle legitimate debate.

You too can take the blue pill and believe whatever you want. It's the “sure-fire” post-modern way to temporarily delude yourself with false comforts and insulate yourself from the reality of your accountability to a living God.
